Our Commitment to Accessibility

TradingDock is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all of our users.

Conformance Status

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities and user-friendly for everyone.

The WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines are organized around four principles (often referred to as POUR):

  • Perceivable - Information and user interface components must be presentable to users in ways they can perceive
  • Operable - User interface components and navigation must be operable
  • Understandable - Information and the operation of user interface must be understandable
  • Robust - Content must be robust enough that it can be interpreted reliably by a wide variety of user agents, including assistive technologies

Measures to Support Accessibility

TradingDock takes the following measures to ensure accessibility:

Include accessibility as part of our mission statement and internal policies
Integrate accessibility into our development processes and quality assurance
Provide ongoing accessibility training for our staff
Use semantic HTML markup to ensure proper structure
Implement ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes for complex components
Ensure all functionality is available from a keyboard
Provide sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
Include alternative text for images and meaningful icons
Clearly label form fields and provide helpful instructions
Ensure all interactive elements have visible focus indicators

Technical Specifications

Accessibility of TradingDock relies on the following technologies to work with the particular combination of web browser and any assistive technologies or plugins installed on your computer:

  • HTML5
  • CSS3
  • JavaScript
  • ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications)

These technologies are relied upon for conformance with the accessibility standards used.

Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of TradingDock, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions:

  • Third-party content: We integrate with TradingView charts and other third-party services which may have their own accessibility limitations beyond our control.
  • Complex data visualizations: Some financial charts and graphs may be challenging to interpret with screen readers. We are working on providing alternative text descriptions and data tables where possible.
  • Real-time updates: Some real-time market data and alerts may not announce changes automatically to screen readers. We are implementing ARIA live regions to address this.
